Being raised in Rochester afforded me the significant opportunity to attend the University at Albany, NY, where I was awarded a Mathematics degree as well as an MBA in human resources. I am currently employed by the Maricopa Community College District as an academic instructor and coach. I have received a certificate as an academic coach from the National Tutoring Association. My work history includes a management position in human resources, substitute teaching, and professional tutoring at high schools, middle schools, and grade schools. My teaching philosophy is geared towards assisting students reach their goals, refine their talents, and realize their full academic potential. I want my students to cultivate an attitude of achievement, so I do my best to inspire those I teach to enjoy the learning process. Ultimately, I try to assist each student to become self sufficient, and learn how to teach themselves. In short, to learn how to learn. Academic achievement is not my only area of concern. I wish to pass on the wisdom and kindness that I have received from dear mentors in my own life and to inspire not only the mind, but the heart as well.I currently reside in Phoenix, Arizona, with my wonderful husband and our adorable dog. I am the proud mother of two identical twin daughters. I am a published author and I love to read and write, and I am quite comfortable tutoring in these fields.
